Types of Cosmetic Dentistry

Enamel Contouring

Enamel Contouring is recommended for minor cracks and chips in your teeth. This procedure can slightly change the shape of your teeth.

Teeth Lengthen

Using high-tech gum re-contouring tools and a combination of water laser and anaesthesia, the procedure alters the gum-to-tooth ratio so teeth that might be too short or are broken can appear like the rest of your teeth and fit in seamlessly with your smile.

Teeth Reshaping

This procedure involves using tooth-coloured material to build up your tooth or fill in the gaps between teeth.

Whitening Teeth

They are removing stains and discolouration. All teeth whitening products contain peroxide.

Veneers (also known as dental bonding)

Thin custom-made tooth shells that are bonded to the front surface of the tooth. They mimic the appearance of your teeth naturally coloured Dental Veneers are adjusted for colour, length, shape, and size. Popular for restoring the strength of the tooth and rectifying crooked, poorly shaped, discoloured, gapped, worn and chipped and cracked or broken teeth. Two types of Veneers are composite resin (most affordable) and longer-lasting porcelain veneers.

Porcelain Crowns

Crowns, recommended if you have had root canal therapy. Dental crowns are made of porcelain and are digitally colour-matched, so they blend with your other teeth and are used to retain as much of your natural tooth as possible. They are also used to protect your tooth to avoid further infection or damage.

Bridges

A prosthetic device to fill gaps between teeth or if you have missing teeth. The bridge is mounted onto existing teeth or implants and cemented into shape, bridging the gap.

White Fillings

Composite fillings, also known as white fillings, are made from tooth-coloured materials, restoring the natural appearance of a decayed or previously filled tooth. Because they blend well with tooth enamel, they don't look like fillings. This procedure is performed on teeth to be restored near the front of your mouth.

Implants

A screw-like anchor is placed as an artificial replacement for the root of a tooth and is used as the base for a crown. Generally, they are made of titanium, and the anchor is screwed into the jawbone and gum tissue under anaesthesia.

Blackline removal

If you have a crown or other dental restoration that are metal-based, you may notice a black line where the restoration meets your gums. This line is avoided by using non-metal dental restorations. The procedure entails replacing existing metal crowns or ill-fitting crowns so that the black lines can be removed permanently.

Indirect fillings

Inlays and Onlays, unlike other treatments, are manufactured in dental laboratories. Inlays are used in mild to moderate decay cases or if insufficient tooth remains to support a filling.

Great news if the tooth cusp shows no signs of damage, the inlay sits on top of the tooth. However, if the tooth cusp is damaged, an onlay will be placed over the tooth.

Inlays and Onlays are constructed, in dental laboratories, from a composite resin material. They are then fixed with adhesive dental cement to the tooth. Inlays and Onlays support strengthening teeth, restoring their shape, and preventing further tooth decay or deterioration.
